Mark Mikel Retirement
Mark Mikel, Director of The Center
It is with great appreciation that the Board of Directors of The Center announce Mark Mikel’s intention to retire, effective January 1, 2026. Under Mark’s leadership The Center expanded its core program services, networked with other nonprofit helping agencies in and around Elkhart County, and moved The Center into a much larger and more efficient building. Mark has encouraged and led the staff to develop and grow as they manage the core programs of The Center. Mark has initiated and nurtured a wide range of community contacts and supporters. He has spearheaded The Center’s fundraising efforts. He has earned the trust of local community leaders as he has worked to promote the mission of The Center. In his 10 plus years at The Center, the agency has matured, grown and nurtured deep relationships with community residents. Repeatedly, the staff and volunteers hear words of thanks and appreciation from clients for the work of The Center. Mark Mikel has guided The Center to become the vital agency it is today!
On behalf of the Board of Directors, we sincerely thank Mark Mikel for his many efforts and tireless work to share hope and support to the vulnerable members of our community. Thank you, Mark! We wish you the best in your retirement and look forward to your continued ministry among us!
Grace and peace,
Ed Geleske
